The truce’s demise led to Israel rekindling its attacks on Gaza through air and land on the 18th of March. Consequently, experts have pointed out a marked decrease in transparency from the Israeli military regarding their activities.

Noga Tornapolsky, a journalist for France24, comments, “The level of information we’re getting about the Israeli army’s actions in Gaza has dropped significantly. They’ve adopted a method over recent weekends, where they give very brief statements in Arabic, telling Gazans to leave the Strip. Historically, the Israeli army was more forthcoming with news and updates about their operations, but that practice seems to have changed.”
