International relief operations commence in Myanmar while military regime permits foreign rescue teams to enter.


Following a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar, the death count has risen to 1,644, according to the ruling junta. In addition, 3,408 individuals have been injured and at least 139 people are still missing. The earthquake also affected neighboring Thailand, where the collapse of a skyscraper under construction resulted in the deaths of at least 10 individuals. Joining us from London is Elinor Raikes, the Vice President for Program Delivery at the International Rescue Mission.
