Israeli negotiators travel to Doha, Qatar on Monday for further discussions concerning the fragile ceasefire in Gaza, following Israel’s decision to cut power to the region on Sunday evening in an effort to coerce Hamas into releasing its hostages. Despite repeated demands from Hamas for prompt negotiations on the subsequent stage of the ceasefire deal, Israel is pushing for an extension of the current phase.
