U.S. Vice President JD Vance on Tuesday warned against Europe’s “excessive regulation”, which he says could curb the growth of the AI industry. The U.S., along with Britain, was also noticeably absent from a joint statement signed by more than 60 nations pledging to ensure AI “is open, inclusive, transparent, ethical, safe, secure and trustworthy.”
