The Supreme Leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), who has been advancing the nation’s nuclear capabilities in spite of economic sanctions and arms bans imposed by the United Nations Security Council, has indicated a willingness to engage in talks with the United States, provided that the current US President, Donald Trump, is willing to remove the prerequisites for denuclearization.
