Mexico hands over 29 individuals accused of drug-related crimes in an effort to prevent imposition of sweeping tariffs by Trump administration.


Mexico sought to avoid US President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs by agreeing to a series of coordinated actions on fentanyl smuggling on Thursday. In a first-hand interaction, Mexico consented to the extradition of 29 alleged traffickers to the US, among them Caro Quintero who is suspected of murdering a US agent.
