Kathmandu was patrolled by troops on Wednesday, with orders for residents to remain indoors following two days of violent protests over a social media ban. These protests led to the resignation of Nepal’s prime minister, resulted in the deaths of 25 people, and prompted demonstrators to ask the military for a new leader to oversee the transition.
