Cameroon has now taken the position of Burkina Faso as the world’s most neglected human rights issue, according to the Norwegian Refugee Council.
The yearly ranking evaluates human rights violations based on the amount of media exposure, financial support, and political intervention. Ethiopia is in second place, its highest-ever ranking, while Mozambique is making its debut in third place. Burkina Faso, which held the top spot for the past two years, has moved down to fourth place.
