The United Nations has expressed concern that global aid funding cuts, spearheaded by the United States, are hindering initiatives to vaccinate children against life-threatening illnesses almost as severely as the COVID-19 pandemic has. Lawrence Gostin, a renowned Professor at Georgetown University and Director of the WHO Center on Global Health Law, warns that “numerous lives will be lost and many individuals will require hospitalization due to the unfortunate consequences of funding reductions and misinformation.”
