European Union officials announced on Monday that they plan to make an effort to preserve Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, a news organization initiated to provide information to individuals living under communist regimes during the Cold War and funded by the United States. Nonetheless, they caution that it may be difficult for them to compensate for the financial reduction implemented by Donald Trump.
