On Sunday, Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, the commander of Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), acknowledged that the armed faction had exited the capital, Khartoum. The country’s military is steadily expanding its control in Khartoum’s vicinity, having taken over a big marketplace in Omdurman last Saturday.
