On Monday, Rwanda terminated its diplomatic ties with Belgium, ordering the expulsion of all Belgian diplomats within a two-day timeframe. According to Kigali, Belgium is taking sides against Rwanda in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) conflict and utilizing “falsehoods and manipulation” to incite animosity toward Rwanda. In response, Belgium designated Rwandan diplomats as persona non grata and halted development assistance, intensifying the disputes between these two countries.
