South Korea is currently facing the most destructive and fatal wildfires in its history, having already surpassed previous records in terms of forest destruction and casualties, as stated by authorities on Thursday. The death toll from these fires has risen to 27. During the weekend, over a dozen fires swept through extensive areas in the southeast of the country, leading to the evacuation of approximately 37,000 individuals.
