Located at the heart of the Niger Delta, one of the world’s most polluted areas is a result of decades of oil exploitation that has significantly damaged the native flora. Surrounding the Niger River, local mangrove forests are vital for biodiversity and the survival of local communities. In Nigeria, scientists, activists, and lawyers are coming together to protect and restore this ecosystem. Judith Rueff and Moïse Gomis explore the daily lives of individuals fighting against this environmental disaster. This documentary is a collaboration between Factstory, Arte G.E.I.E, and FRANCE 24.
