Strong earthquakes hit Thailand and Myanmar, causing a significant skyscraper collapse in Bangkok

An under-construction high-rise building in Bangkok collapsed following a strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 that hit Thailand and the neighbouring Myanmar on Friday. As a result, the Thai Prime Minister has declared a state of emergency in the city. At least 43 workers are currently trapped beneath the debris, yet the exact number of potential casualties remains uncertain.
