Israel’s military claimed to have neutralized an Al Jazeera journalist, whom they alleged to be the head of a Hamas cell, during an air strike in Gaza on Sunday. However, human rights organizations contend that the journalist was targeted due to his firsthand reporting on the Gaza conflict, pointing out that no concrete evidence has been presented by Israel to substantiate their claim. In addition, the same incident resulted in the deaths of four other Al Jazeera journalists.
