A recent 7.7-magnitude earthquake in Myanmar has increased its death toll to 1,644, while additionally injuring 3,408 people, as reported by the ruling regime on Saturday. As many as 139 individuals are still missing. Thailand also experienced the impact of the quake, leading to the collapse of a construction site for a skyscraper that resulted in at least 10 fatalities.
