The United Nations appeals for close to one billion dollars in assistance to support Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.

The United Nations announced on Monday its need for roughly $1 billion in order to provide life-saving assistance to approximately 1.5 million persecuted Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh this year. The organization, along with more than 100 partners, is facing challenges due to dwindling financial resources, as well as competing global crises.
