The UN’s children’s agency reports that rape is being employed as a weapon during an intense conflict, highlighting that armed men in Sudan’s civil war have brutally sexually abused numerous children, including infants and those as young as four years old. This appalling abuse not only sheds light on the horrific nature of the war, which has already claimed tens of thousands of lives since April 2023, but also points fingers at both the army and the rsf paramilitary for committing these heinous acts.
