Three years have passed since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and the devastating effect of the war on children is still a pressing concern. We spoke from Kyiv with NGO Save Ukraine founder and former Ukrainian presidential commissioner for children’s rights, Mykola Kuleba, to shed light on this issue. According to a report by UNICEF last spring, the conflict has tragically claimed the lives of nearly 2,000 children or left them injured, without counting those who have suffered the loss of family members or friends. This interview provides an insightful perspective on the plight faced by children amid the ongoing conflict.
