Trump and Netanyahu discuss potential truce in Gaza, sidestep issue of a two-nation resolution

US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met on Monday to discuss ending Israel’s ongoing conflict with Hamas in Gaza. France 24’s correspondent, Fraser Jackson, reported on the meeting from Washington, DC. Jackson quoted Netanyahu as saying that he had recommended Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize and Trump as asserting that Hamas supported the ceasefire deal that his administration helped negotiate. However, neither Trump nor Netanyahu answered when asked if a two-state solution was possible between Israel and Palestine.
