An image depicting the aftermath of a Russian drone attack on Ukraine shows the destruction caused by some 65 drones that were launched overnight. Despite Ukrainian air defenses successfully taking down 65 out of 111 drones, a third of the remaining drones still managed to inflict damage in the regions of Kharkiv, Sumy, Odessa, and Donetsk. The attack, which has been labeled as a “war crime” by Kyiv, has prompted President Volodymyr Zelensky to call for a stronger response from Western allies, who he believes must recognize not only the threats to Ukraine’s civilian population but also the detrimental impact that these acts have on international efforts to establish a resolution to the ongoing conflict.
