Ukrainian President Zelensky invites Russian President Putin to face-to-face peace negotiations.

Ukraine and Russia moved towards deciding possible ways to stop the Ukraine war on Sunday when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared that he would be “waiting for Putin in Türkiye” on Thursday. Despite Putin agreeing to have “direct talks” with Ukraine, he was not in favor of the unconditional ceasefire proposal suggested by Ukraine and its allies on Friday before the discussions.
