Jenča likened this potential choice to be “seriously troubling,” especially given mounting pressure on the Israeli government, both within its borders and from the global community, to put an end to the ongoing conflict. According to Jenča, further military action could lead to “devastating” outcomes for the Palestinians residing in Gaza. These individuals are already in dire circumstances due to persistent strikes by the Israeli military, which have led to severe shortages of food and other essential resources. There is also great concern for the welfare of individuals who remain in captivity within the Gaza Strip.
