Venezuelan opposition calls for electoral abstention amid contentious upcoming vote


Venezuelan citizens are set to go back to the polls on Sunday, a mere ten months after President Nicolas Maduro secured a third term in an election where violence and fraud allegations cast a shadow. One of the main questionnaires centers around voter turnout, given that the chief opposition has asked the citizens to refrain from participating, deeming this upcoming vote yet another unjust election that should not be validated.
