As the US and Europe denounced Russia for its invasion of Ukraine, Sasa Bozic responded by opening the Putin Cafe in Bosnia, decorating it with an oversized mannequin of Putin. Now, with much of Europe condemning President Trump’s attack on Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mr. Bozic plans to open a motel and restaurant complex called “Trump and Putin’s Place.” Voting tribute to Trump and Putin, he says, is not political, but a marketing trick that works in Banja Luka, a predominantly Serb city and surrounding region that views Russia favorably and has hostility towards an American-led world order.
