Train services between Heathrow Airport and central London were temporarily disrupted on Wednesday morning due to a fire near the tracks. Trains connecting Paddington Station with Heathrow’s Terminal 5 may experience cancellations or delays of up to 30 minutes as a result of the fire, according to an incident report by National Rail. However, they did not specify the fire’s exact location or cause. The rail lines had reopened, but the disruption was expected to continue until 12 p.m. local time. In a separate incident last month, a fire at an electrical substation caused a power outage at Heathrow Airport, leading to the closure of the airport for almost an entire day and causing disruption to air travel for tens of thousands of passengers worldwide. The London Fire Brigade and Heathrow Airport have not yet commented on the latest disruption as reported by National Rail.
