The remains of Morgan Beatrice Harris, one of four Indigenous victims of a serial killer, have been identified among human remains found in a search of a landfill near Winnipeg in December. Ms. Harris, a member of the Long Plain First Nation, was killed between March and May 2022, aged 39. Jeremy Anthony Michael Skibicki, the convicted killer, expressed support for far-right ideology on social media. The provincial government announced the identification of Ms. Harris’s remains on Friday, following a political dispute over the search of the Prairie Green Landfill during the 2023 elections.
