A 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck in the Mediterranean Sea on Wednesday, according to the United States Geological Survey.
The earthquake occurred at 1:51 a.m. Eastern European time, approximately 9 miles south of Fry, Greece, as per the agency’s data.
Seismologists may revise the earthquake’s magnitude as they continue to review available data. Additional information may also lead U.S.G.S. scientists to update the shake-severity map.
