At least 37 individuals have lost their lives and numerous others have been injured after a collision involving two buses in Bolivia.
The crash occurred in the western Potosi region, according to police and local authorities, on Saturday.
It happened in the early hours of Saturday morning on the roads linking the cities of Uyuni and Colchani.
One bus reportedly veered into the path of the oncoming traffic.
“Due to this tragic incident, 39 individuals are hospitalized for injuries across four hospitals in Uyuni, and regrettably, 37 have lost their lives,” stated a spokesperson for the Departmental Police Command of Potosi.

This incident follows a tragedy last month when 31 individuals died after a bus plummeted approximately 800m (2,600ft) from a road in the mountains.
