Over 30 individuals, featuring multiple women and children, lose their lives in Gaza due to Israeli airstrikes | Global Updates

Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of over 30 individuals, including multiple women and children, according to local health authorities.

Strikes on Saturday night into Sunday targeted a tent and a house in Khan Younis, leading to the deaths of five men, five women, and five children, as reported by Nasser Hospital, which received the deceased.

A subsequent strike on Sunday killed at least two people and injured six others when an Israeli airstrike hit a tent in Khan Younis near Nasser Hospital, a known base for journalists. Multiple journalists were among the injured.

Video footage showed a journalist engulfed by flames after an airstrike hit his tent; he is reportedly in critical condition.

Israeli shelling resulted in at least four deaths in the Jabaliya refugee camp, according to Gaza’s Hamas-controlled Health Ministry.

The bodies of seven individuals, including a child and three women, were brought to Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al Balah, as witnessed by an Associated Press journalist present.

Additionally, a strike in Gaza City killed six people, including three children, when it hit individuals waiting outside a bakery, according to the civil defense under the Hamas-led government.

Last month, Israel resumed its air and ground operations against Hamas following the end of a ceasefire.

Israel has conducted numerous strikes and occupied territories as a means to pressure Hamas into agreeing to a new truce and the release of remaining hostages.

For over a month, Israel has also restricted the entry of food, fuel, and humanitarian aid.

“Supplies are dwindling, and the situation is becoming dire,” stated the United Nations agency responsible for Palestinian refugees on social media.

Israel ‘seizing territory’ in Gaza

Israel’s military ordered Palestinians to leave several areas in Deir al Balah, Gaza, on Sunday night, following the launch of around 10 projectiles from Gaza.

The military stated that five of the missiles were intercepted, with Hamas’s military wing taking responsibility.

Police reported that a rocket landed in Ashkelon, just north of Gaza, and fragments were found in other locations.

The Magen David Adom emergency service noted one man was lightly injured, and the military subsequently targeted a rocket launcher in Gaza.
