However, following the emergence of footage contradicting their account, showing the vehicles clearly marked as ambulances, the IDF admitted to making an error. The Israeli government later claimed that “six Hamas terrorists” were among those killed, but without providing evidence. Organizations such as the United Nations and the Palestinian Red Crescent challenge these claims, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability.
