US Speaker Mike Johnson has suggested that Volodymyr Zelenskyy may need to step down in order for Ukraine to achieve a peace deal with Russia. As reported by NBC, Mr. Johnson stated, “Something has to change. Either he needs to come to his senses and come back to the table, or someone else needs to lead the country to do that.” Russian President Vladimir Putin and others have made similar statements calling for a change in leadership for peace talks to progress.
