A series of powerful storms has struck various parts of the United States, resulting in the deaths of six individuals. In Missouri, where a state of emergency was declared, three people lost their lives, while another three were killed in car accidents during dust storms in Texas on Friday. Approximately 138 million individuals across central and southern US states face the risk of severe weather, with tornado warnings issued in several areas, including parts of Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, Indiana, and Kentucky. Tornados in Missouri could potentially reach EF2 strength. The US weather service reported hail the size of baseballs in Christian County. Many residents have recommended enabling cookies or allowing cookies for one session only to view certain content that requires permission. Meanwhile, dramatic scenes showed lorries overturning during dust storms in Texas, wind speeds reaching up to 62mph. The storms have caused destruction to buildings, interruption of power supplies, and over 100 wildfires across multiple states, leaving more than 400,000 households without power. Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe urged residents to remain vigilant and monitor weather forecasts.
