A United Nations report alleges that Israel has conducted “genocidal acts” against Palestinians during the Gaza conflict. The report accuses Israeli authorities of systematically destroying women’s healthcare facilities and imposing measures to prevent births, which the report considers acts of genocide under the Rome Statute and the Genocide Convention. It also documents an increase in sexual and gender-based violence against Palestinians and claims that such violence was employed by Israel to terrorize Palestinians and perpetuate a system of oppression.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed the report’s findings as “biased and antisemitic” and insists that the IDF has strict directives prohibiting such conduct. South Africa has filed a genocide case against Israel’s actions in Gaza at the International Court of Justice.
