The play “Giant,” which addresses Roald Dahl’s antisemitism, has won multiple Olivier awards, including best actor for John Lithgow, best supporting actor for Elliot Levey, and best new play for Mark Rosenblatt. The play will transfer to the West End later this month. Other winners include the musicals “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and “Fiddler on the Roof,” with the latter receiving a total of 13 Olivier nominations. Romola Garai won the award for best actress in a supporting role for her performance in “The Years,” which also won best director for Eline Arbo. Paule Constable won the award for best lighting design for her work on “Oliver!”. The awards ceremony celebrated the best of London theatre and was hosted by Beverley Knight and Billy Porter.
