New Zealand’s defense minister has expressed concern over the presence of Chinese warships off the eastern coast of Australia, stating that they are equipped with highly advanced weaponry that could potentially target Australia. Taskgroup 107, consisting of three vessels, recently conducted live-fire exercises in the waters between Australia and New Zealand, causing commercial flights to be diverted. The ships, named Taskgroup 107, are currently positioned 280 nautical miles east of Tasmania and are being closely monitored by the New Zealand Navy.
