Australia’s special envoy on antisemitism has proposed a comprehensive plan to combat Jew hatred in various sectors, including academia, media, and public institutions. This plan, reviewed by the federal Labor government, suggests that universities and artists could have their funding withheld if they fail to address antisemitism. AI tools would be restricted from disseminating Jewish hatred, and the government might have enhanced powers to deport visitors who promote such ideologies. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has indicated a willingness to consider these recommendations, though the government has not fully committed to the plan.
