The fire department responded to the incident just before 6:30 AM at a three-story building in Lidcombe. The explosion occurred in a unit on the second floor, causing the brick wall to collapse, damaging a car and causing damage to nearby units. Firefighters found a person who was unconscious or semiconscious and provided medical treatment before transporting them to the hospital.
