Chinese company Landbridge has accused Anthony Albanese and Peter Dutton of using the Port of Darwin as a “political football” ahead of the federal election. The Labor and Coalition parties have both announced plans to terminate Landbridge’s long-term lease on the port and transfer control to an Australian entity, due to strategic importance. Landbridge maintains that the port is a long-term investment and not for sale.
