First Death of Migrant Worker Occurs During Construction of World Cup 2034 Stadium in Saudi Arabia

Workers are dying while constructing the 2034 World Cup’s venues in Saudi Arabia. That’s already been the case with a laborer from Pakistan, a father of three. This man had the job of foreman who died because of falling off while working on the Aramco Stadium in Al Khobar back in March. Several people have witnessed the incident. This stadium is a sizeable building construction that requires a fair number of workers —many of whom come from Pakistan and Bangladesh—to work there for the project.

Workers are reportedly forced to work in unsustainable conditions. That includes working 10 hours a day in extremely hot temperatures, having to pay large debts for being allowed to work, and not receiving promised wages.
