A helicopter crashed near the Bellarine Peninsula, south-west of Melbourne, with three people aboard. Emergency services responded to the incident, with 12 vehicles in attendance near Ocean Grove. Ambulance Victoria received reports of an aircraft incident in Point Lonsdale around 10:10am. The helicopter crashed into the water off Fellows Road just after 10am. Footage shows the aircraft in the water. All three individuals made it to shore and were assisted by bystanders. Two unidentified individuals were airlifted to the hospital with severe injuries, while another was transported by road. The circumstances of the incident are still being determined, and the Australian Transport Safety Bureau will be helping with the investigation.
