Individual convicted of killing mother and multiple siblings in Luton sentenced to minimum of 49 years in prison | Criminal Case

A 19-year-old man named Nicholas Prosper has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 49 years for the murder of his mother and two younger siblings. The killings were part of a failed plan to murder 30 children at a primary school, aiming to become the worst mass murderer in British history.

Prosper admitted to killing Juliana Falcon, 48, Kyle Falcon, 16, and Giselle Falcon, 13, as well as buying a shotgun without a certificate, possessing a shotgun with intent to endanger life, and possessing a kitchen knife in a public place. He refused to attend Luton Crown Court for the sentencing, causing a delay in the hearing.

According to the court proceedings, Prosper shot his family at their Luton home after a violent struggle. The murders were part of his larger plan to carry out a mass shooting at his former primary school, St Joseph’s, to gain notoriety as a mass murderer. The day before the killings, Prosper purchased a shotgun online for £650 using a forged shotgun certificate.

Prosper intended to kill his family while they slept on September 13th and then travel to St Joseph’s to carry out the attack. However, his plans were disrupted when his family discovered something was wrong and a violent struggle ensued.

The court heard that Juliana died from a single shotgun wound to her head, with additional slash injuries and bruising suggesting she tried to defend herself. Giselle died from a single gunshot to her face and was found under a dining table as if trying to hide. Kyle died after being shot twice, and his body had over 100 knife wounds.

Neighbors reported the disturbances to the police, who responded to the scene. Prosper fled the scene, carrying a bag with the shotgun he used. The bag also contained 33 cartridges that he planned to use at a morning assembly at St Joseph’s.

Maureen Murphy, the headteacher of St Joseph’s, expressed shock about the plan.
