Ben Britton is no longer the Liberal candidate for the New South Wales seat of Whitlam following the disclosure of his controversial opinions on marginal podcasts prior to his successful pre-selection.

The Liberal party has removed Britton from their website, and it has been confirmed that he is no longer receiving their endorsement, with Nathaniel Smith being named as his replacement.

In these broadcasts, Britton argued that Australia’s education system was indoctrinating students and also opposed the inclusion of women in ADF combat roles.

Smith, who is currently the CEO of the Master Plumbers Association of NSW, served as the Liberal MP for Wollondilly from 2019 to 2023.

The Coalition has been approached for a statement.
