Natalist gathering in the United States set to feature proponents of race-science ideas and eugenics | American news

A conference featuring speakers who are eugenicists and promoters of race science will be hosted at a hotel and conference venue operated by the public University of Texas in Austin. The conference is organized by Kevin Dolan, who has been identified as the person behind a Twitter account that was prominent in the far-right “DezNat” movement. The speakers at the conference include individuals who emerged from the “fascist fitness scene” and practitioners of “liberal eugenics.”

Spectators can register to see the address of the venue, but a promotional email indicates that discounted accommodations are available at the AT&T Conference Center. The conference includes a symposium with keynote speakers and a closed-door facilitated “unconference.”

One of the speakers, Jordan Lasker, is billed under a social media alias, Cremieux. Lasker is a long-time proponent of eugenics, and his papers have defended the work of Richard Lynn, a self-described “scientific racist.”

Other speakers at the conference are affiliated with organizations that promote eugenicist ideas and practices. For example, Jonathan Anomaly, a former academic and an advocate of “liberal eugenics,” is a senior staff member at Heliospect, a startup that offers IQ screening for IVF embryos.

The ticketing page of the website indicates that standard tickets are $1,000 and that purchases will require approval. The conference website and promotional materials also embed several posts and musings from Elon Musk, a vocal proponent of natalism. On X, Musk has engaged with Lasker’s account multiple times and has said that human civilization will end if birth rates continue to plummet.

Prominent supporters of pro-natalist positions, such as tech billionaire Elon Musk, are laying waste to US government agencies under his “Doge” initiative. There is also speculation that Musk plans to house some of his children and two of their mothers at a compound near Austin, where the conference will be held.

Additionally, the conference features discussions about “liberal eugenics” and other forms of eugenics beyond the Nazi-era practice. Broadly, eugenics is a group of beliefs and practices aimed at improving the genetic quality of a human population.

Other scheduled speakers at the conference include Diana Fleischman, a podcast host and contributor at online magazine Aporia, and the Collinses, who have been labeled “hipster eugenicists” and promote pro-natalism.
