Ohio Train Accident: Multiple Pedestrians Fatalities Recorded | Train Incident

Two fatalities were recorded, and at least one individual was unaccounted for after a train struck pedestrians in northern Ohio on Sunday evening, as stated by the police.

The incident took place around 7 p.m. in Fremont, situated between Toledo and Cleveland near Lake Erie, according to WTOL-TV.

Fremont’s mayor, Danny Sanchez, confirmed that there were two casualties.

Rescue teams were conducting a search in the Sandusky river, adjacent to the Miles Newton Bridge, for at least one missing person, as reported by the TV station. The bridge was closed to the public.

The Freemont police department stated on X to avoid the area as the Miles Newton Bridge was closed, and law enforcement agencies were present at the scene.
