A gas leak at an Indian restaurant in Sydney’s northwest has resulted in one person’s death and seven individuals, including five police officers, being treated at hospitals. New South Wales Ambulance reported that all the individuals are in stable condition. The incident occurred at Haveli restaurant in Riverstone, and emergency services are investigating the cause of the leak, with carbon monoxide being a concern. Air quality in the building has been compromised, and hazmat crews are using detection equipment to identify the gas and secure the area. Police are also on the scene investigating. Haveli has two locations, including Riverstone and Stanhope Gardens.
