Chanel Tapper, a California native, has mastered the art of party tricks thanks to her Guinness World Records title for having the world’s longest tongue, measuring 3.8 inches. She effortlessly uses her tongue to remove Jenga blocks, flip plastic cups, and curl a spoon. When people see her tongue, their reaction of horror and shock amuses her greatly. Discovered over two decades ago by acquaintances, Tapper’s internet fame grew when YouTube users became fascinated by her tongue’s length. In 2010, she was invited to an event in Los Angeles to have her tongue measured by Guinness World Records, where she surpassed two other competitors and earned a spot in the organization’s database. Despite being compared to the Marvel Comics villain Venom, Tapper cherishes her record and sees it as an opportunity to travel internationally. She recently participated in a campaign for the Italian brand Diesel, having her tongue painted blue and green. The recognition has allowed Tapper to see parts of the world she has never been to before.
