Western Australia is also set to witness a heat trough, accompanied by late showers and storms in the far south-west. Perth is expected to reach 26°C on Saturday, with Hobart possibly hitting 22°C. The warm weather is forecast to persist through early next week, including parts of South Australia, Victoria, and southern New South Wales, with cooler air anticipated to return just in time for Easter. The nation’s land surface has warmed by 1.5°C since 1910, emphasizing the impact of the climate crisis on extreme weather events.
