Emotional scenes unfolded on the International Space Station as astronauts greeted each other with hugs and embraces in zero gravity after a new crew arrived on Sunday. The SpaceX capsule had delivered four astronauts to the ISS as part of a Nasa crew-swap mission, allowing two astronauts, Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Suni Williams, to return home after being stranded on the orbiting lab for over nine months. Williams said it was wonderful to see her colleagues arrive. The Crew-10 mission is the first step in bringing Wilmore and Williams back to Earth, with the pair set to depart the ISS on Wednesday, along with Nick Hague and Aleksandr Gorbunov. The astronauts arrived at the ISS about 29 hours after launching from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, and were welcomed by the station’s seven-member crew.
